Sustainability

At Securex, we have a comprehensive well-being offering for our employees. For example, we offer medical check-ups and training on how to manage stress. Our Employee Assistance Program provides psychological support to our employees, including for personal matters, and our flexible homeworking policy helps our employees maintain a healthy work-life balance. 

We believe that we can further enhance the positive impact of our well-being services by increasing communication about what we offer.

• Objective: Every year, we run an internal communication campaign on Securex's well-being offer for employees (2026 to 2030).

At Securex, we believe in the importance of continuous development. It is one of our six key behaviours. In the coming years, we want to further invest in this.

• Objective: We achieve an average of 30 hours of training per employee per year by 2026 and 40 hours by 2030.

As an employer, we create working conditions in which our employees can fully realise their potential. Our high seniority rates and low turnover demonstrate that we have a positive impact on our employees. In 2024, we were recognised as a 'Great Place to Work' in all countries for the first time, and we are building on that momentum.

• Objectives: We remain a 'Great Place to Work' and become the 'Best Place to Work' by 2030.

‘Caring for people’ is another one of our key behaviours. At Securex, we respect and value all our employees and place great importance on diversity and inclusion. In terms of gender, our fair and transparent pay policy ensures equal pay between men and women. We aim to maintain this.

•  Objective: We keep our gender pay gap below 1% (2026 to 2030).

We put a lot of effort into open and transparent internal communication about our strategy and culture. All employees are actively involved in promoting our six key behaviours. We want our employees to be proud Securex ambassadors and see a significant role for sustainability in this.

• Objectives: We take at least one sustainability target into account for awarding variable remuneration (2026 to 2030).

Supporting our customers in caring for their people is one of our core activities. In the coming months and years, we will further grow our offering by guiding not only employers and their employees but also self-employed individuals in terms of mental well-being. We are also developing an offering to assist our customers with their sustainability challenges.

• Objectives: 10% increase in the number of interventions regarding mental well-being for affiliated self-employed individuals by 2026 and 20% by 2030.
• Objectives: We establish a sustainability inspired offering for customers by 2026.

To make an impact together with our customers and ensure our long-term commercial success, we must offer an excellent service to our customers. The quality and effectiveness of our services are of great importance. 

• Objectives: 100% of our customers indicate that their employees’ well-being has improved after completing a Securex programme (2026 to 2030).
• Objectives: We achieve an NPS score of >30 and rank among the top 3 in the sector (2026 to 2030).

We aim to be successful while acting in an ethically responsible way. This means we want to be honest, responsible, and transparent in our actions. We carefully consider how we invest our money and the potential impact of those investments. We manage cybersecurity and the data of our customers and their employees in a responsible and secure manner. It is crucial that we consider not only our IT systems but also the behaviour of our employees.  

• Objectives: We formulate and implement an ESG investment policy for our insurance companies by 2026, with 100% compliance by 2030.
• Objectives: 100% of our employees are compliant with our IT and data security training policy (2026 to 2030).

In 2005, we established the Securex Foundation, a non-profit association with the mission to promote employability, inclusive employment, and sustainable entrepreneurship in our society. We take pride in our support for DiversiCom and Campus19. In collaboration with the King Baudouin Foundation, we also support the organisations YouthStart and BeCode. Additionally, we encourage the social engagement of our employees by supporting their initiatives for charitable causes. We are committed to this engagement for the coming years. .

• Objectives: We support organisations that focus on employability and entrepreneurship in society by investing 1% of our annual profit in our Securex Foundation (2026 to 2030).

We also want to take responsibility on an ecological level. Our ambition is to become carbon neutral by 2050, in line with European legislation. We aim to achieve this in a data-driven manner. This means we will first map our 2024 carbon footprint, so that we can develop a realistic and well-founded decarbonisation plan based on simulations.

• Objective: We calculate our first carbon footprint for 2024 and become net-zero by 2050.
