Public Holidays
In November, there are two statutory public holidays: All Saints' Day on 1 November and Armistice Day on 11 November. On these days, both banks and our Securex offices will be closed. Please remember this if you need to make urgent payments.

Also, do not forget to schedule the replacement public holiday for 2026 in advance. Legally, you must arrange this before 15 December 2025.
1 November is a Saturday
On 1 November, it is All Saints' Day. However, be aware that this public holiday falls on a Saturday, so do not forget to replace it if Saturday is a non-working day in your company.
15 November is not a statutory public holiday
On 15 November, we celebrate the day of the German-speaking community. However, please note that although this day is recognised in certain companies or sectors, it is not one of the 10 statutory public holidays.
To check if there is a conventional public holiday in your sector, it is best to look at Joint Committees. Select your joint committee and go to 'Holidays and extralegal leave > Extralegal leave > Cultural leave'.

Sector Negotiations 2025-2026
Now that the pay standard for 2025-2026 is known, the sectors are beginning negotiations for a new pay agreement.
Additionally, the legislation regarding the increase of luncheon vouchers is also starting to take shape.

The year-end bonuses are coming
Most year-end bonuses are paid out in December and are equivalent to a thirteenth month. You can check the exact timing and calculation in your sector via Joint Committees > Your JC > Year-end bonuses > Year-end bonus.
Our Social Secretariat Securex will calculate the year-end bonus for you during the same period as last year.If you have recently registered with our social secretariat or if a specific date has already been set, we will adhere to the agreed timing.
If you wish to pay a higher year-end bonus than the amount provided by your sector,
or if you want to give a year-end bonus while your sector does not offer one, please let us know in advance via myHR@securex.be.
