A phased implementation
This will occur in phases from November 1, 2025, to December 31, 2025. Only the legally required registered letters will still be sent on paper for a limited time. However, in the long run, registered letters will also be sent through the e-Box Enterprise.
What is the e-Box Enterprise?
The e-Box is a secure electronic mailbox for your enterprise, where all official communication with government institutions is centralised. It offers a practical, fast, and secure way to communicate with the government.

Is the use of the e-Box Enterprise mandatory?
In the government agreement we read: “The use of e-Box will be mandatory for all administrations. The government is committed to the proposed start date (2026) for the mandatory use of the e-Box Enterprise in B2B and will provide the necessary awareness campaigns.”
The e-Box is currently not mandatory, but more and more government institutions are using this communication channel to send you documents or messages. These include the Social Security Office, the National Employment Office, the National Institute for Health and Disability Insurance, the Federal Public Service Finance, the representative employee organisations, and now also the General Directorate of Collective Labour Relations of the Federal Public Service Employment, Labour and Social Dialogue.
How do you activate the e-Box?
To use e-Box Enterprise, you must activate the Box and manage access.

Each time a new document or message is received, a notification is sent to the email address you provided.
Our tip: Do not miss any correspondence from the various government institutions. Ensure that your e-Box Enterprise is activated and that notifications and access are correctly configured.
