What is the Incitant Job Plus?
Incitant Job Plus is a new regional hiring premium that the Walloon Government plans to introduce from 1 July 2026.
This reform aims to greatly simplify existing employment aids in Wallonia and better focus on jobseekers who have the most difficulty finding work.
At present, several schemes exist:
Each of these schemes has its own conditions, durations, limits and administrative procedures. As a result, it can sometimes be hard for an employer to know which aid you qualify for, which scheme is the best, or what steps to take.
Incitant Job Plus is designed to replace these aids with a single and clearer system.
Who will be eligible for Incitant Job Plus?
To benefit from Incitant Job Plus, several combined conditions must be met. The future scheme sets out the criteria.
On the worker's side
The worker must be registered as a jobseeker with Forem.
Eligibility will mainly depend on three combined criteria:
- The length of registration with Forem
- The age
- The level of qualification
The current plan includes 3 entry points.

On the employer's side
Incitant Job Plus will not be limited to a specific sector. The premium should be available to:
- The private commercial sector of all sizes, sectors and legal forms
- The non-commercial sector (e.g. non-profit associations, CPAS, municipalities, provinces, etc.)
Also, your company must have an establishment unit in the French-speaking Walloon Region.
Furthermore, to qualify for the premium, the recruitment must meet several minimum criteria. You must:
- Recruit the worker for a minimum of 3 months
- Offer a job of at least half-time
What is the amount of the premium?
Incitant Job Plus provides for Forem to pay a quarterly lump sum premium directly to your company. The exact amount will mainly depend on the profile of the recruited worker and their distance from the labour market.
The current plan foresees a basic payment of 3,000 euros per quarter for a full-time worker. Depending on the worker's profile, the aid could be granted for 12 months, 24 months or even 36 months in some cases.
This means that the total support could reach:
- 12,000 euros for one year of aid
- 24,000 euros for two years of aid
- Up to 36,000 euros for cases with the maximum duration of aid
An increase planned for small companies
The plan also includes extra support for small companies in the commercial sector.
If your company has fewer than 20 full-time equivalents (FTE), you could receive a premium increase of up to €600 extra per quarter.
In this case, the quarterly amount could reach 3,600 euros, with total support potentially reaching 43,200 euros over the full duration of the scheme.
What happens to existing aids with the arrival of Job Plus?
The new scheme is intended to gradually replace several existing aids. From 1 July 2026, it will no longer be possible to submit new requests for these aids.
However, at this stage, the current schemes will continue to apply not only for already granted aids, but also, for some schemes, for requests submitted before 1 July 2026, even if the decision is made afterwards.
The transitional period will last until 31 December 2029.
Entry into force?
The entry into force is definitively set for 1 July 2026. The scheme will apply from that date.
