Do you want your employees to be able to concentrate optimally on their tasks? Then you should preferably eliminate all disturbing factors. Artificial heat or cold, as well as vibrations and noise can sometimes not be avoided (e.g., working in a refrigerated area). We are unable to eliminate the nuisance, but we can take measures to limit the detrimental consequences.
Securex has decided to take on these performance blockers. By carefully measuring their impact and intervening efficiently where necessary.
Noise nuisance
Our experts always start by measuring the noise levels on your premises in order to limit the risk of auditive damage. This can be done in two ways:
- sonometry: We measure the sound in various work stations (e.g., average and maximum noise level, frequency).
- dosimetry: We measure the exposure to noise during a longer period of time for every employee.
We then analyse the results and summarize them in a clear report. With measures that can be immediately applied.

The indoor climate
The indoor climate is inextricably linked to your employees’ good performance. Many complaints about the indoor climate in office buildings are all related to the often-discussed “sick building syndrome”. Employees complain about the building being too hot, too cold, too draughty, about headaches and often about irritated eyes and airways. That is why it is important to assess the indoor climate too.
Securex measures a series of technical parameters:
- temperature;
- humidity
- draughty
- Air quality (CO2, ozone, dust, ...);
- Background noise;
- Light strength;
- …
We then analyse the results and summarize them in a clear report. With measures that can be immediately applied.
Are the technical parameters allright? But the complaints have not stopped? Then the complaints are probably caused or accentuated by psychological factors. In this case, we will gladly help you improve the psycho-social welfare of your employees.
Mechanical vibrations
Almost all machines and equipment cause annoying mechanical vibrations and can thus influence employee health negatively. It is important to know exactly what is the extent of this daily exposure, and of what nature it is. That is why Securex checks to which vibration levels employees are exposed for two different types of vibrations:
- global body vibrations: Mainly tax the back of drivers of heavy vehicles as a result of vibrations of the cab and seat;
- hand and arm vibrations: Mainly tax hands and arms when using mechanical or electric hand tools.
