A seated position may seem like an easy work position, but it most definitely is not. The human body was designed to move. Sitting still for hours really taxes the body. Office work, and above all, VDT work will generate risks of physical overstraining injuries, of visual problems and a mental burden. Most physical complaints occur in the neck-shoulder region, in people's arms and hands. Securex can help you keep your employees fit and healthy and in the office.
Whether you are renovating or building a new-build, considering a move within your company, developing new workstations or purchasing furniture or work equipment, the design phase is the ideal moment to request advice from our ergonomists. Our Securex Health & Safert experts will help you draw up the plans, with the ergonomic design of the offices, and with the choice of adapted furniture, the best lighting, etc. Thus you will be able to avoid complaints and (more expensive) corrective interventions in the future.
VDT workers will be made aware of issues related to office work during a two-hour interactive session. We will also give practical tips, advice regarding the design of the workstation, as well as work organisation and simple relaxation exercises. This will help us to influence the behaviour of employees.
Did you know that small interventions can make a big difference for a person working with a computer? The height of the chair, the size of the screen, the way the light falls in, the quality of the screen, etc. Everything has a direct impact on your employees’ bodies.
Securex assesses VDT workstations in your company. We analyse the work station, inform the employee, provide immediate advice and suggest tools. We follow this up with a clear report, with photos and proposals for improvement, which can be immediately applied.
Individual coaching is usually provided within the frame of the treatment of a specific complaint or a return to work after a long period of absence. The employee receives intensive training and follow-up to integrate the new work method and positions in his movement pattern. An EMG (Electro Myo-Graphy) or Myo-feedback system can also support this process where necessary.
