Step 1. Determining your vision

Together with you we will determine SMART objectives: specific, measurable, acceptable, realistic and time-bound. We also have to understand the general welfare and car use in your company. That is why will make an inventory of absenteeism, draw up statistics of accidents and diseases and carry out a zero measurement among the drivers concerned.
This will help you get a realistic idea of the issue and you will also immediately understand the difference that this project can make to your business. In so doing we determine your vision and your objectives.

Result: you will have a clear roadmap with which to achieve your goals.

 

Step 2. Raising awareness among your executives and employees

Your plan is only likely to succeed if everyone is convinced. That is why we take the time to properly inform your executives and all employees concerned about the issue and the action plan.
This session will last 1.5 hour per group of fifteen employees.

Result: everyone in your company knows the projects and understands its importance.

 

Step 3. Carrying out a mobility audit

We have to understand your company and its traffic risk to be able to tailor your project in function of it. How? By means of an audit. We will make an inventory of the data of car users (task, function, travel time), your fleet and driving behaviour. We will also collect images for further action. Based on the results we will draw up a report with technical, organisational and behavioural measures.

Result: you know exactly which risks your employees run in the car and how serious they are.

 


Step 4. Drawing up an action plan

We discuss the audit report and the medical angle with the executives, the prevention adviser, the members of the CPPW, the fleet manager, the purchasing department, etc.
This will help us get input from all the stakeholders. As a result we will be able to establish the frame for an action plan endorsed by all of the departments.

Result: you will have an action plan that resonates throughout your company.

 

Step 5. Implementing your action plan

We will implement your action plan. You decide how long we remain involved in this phase. These are but a few of the modules possible:

  • Choice of the car and potential resources.
    Chair, PC, car... any work equipment has to be adapted to the employees and his job requirements. We explain how you can purchase the right car and equipment for the various positions in your company.
  • Car as a workplace.
    During an interactive workshop we discuss the ideal sitting position in your car, factors that influence your driving behaviour, tips for safe and mindful driving. In the final, practical session we will help the employee to set his car chair and to find the best sitting position.
  • Mindful driving.
    We make your employees self-conscious of a lack of attention when driving and the importance of such behaviour. We look at loss of concentration, drowsiness, aggressive driving... Anything that impact driving behaviour will be covered. Thanks to our practical approach we can explain to employees what mindful driving means.
  • Defensive/preventative driving skills.
    Your employees will learn how to prevent accidents with interactive software in a certified training centre. Then they will work on their defensive/preventative driving skills in a practical session on the track.
  • Ecodriving.
    Your employee will learn how to save ten percent of fuel on average without losing time – simply by adapting his driving style. This is taught in a certified training centre during a practical session on the road, using an objective measurement device which explains what he is doing right or wrong.
  • Medical check.
    Your employee will receive personal advice from a specialised doctor. Moreover he will be submitted to an extensive eye exam, clinical examination and anamnesis.
  • Counselling after a traumatic experience.
    Traffic aggression, accident, carjacking? Securex’s Employee Assistance Program will immediately assist your employee with a professional team.

Result: your employees will be dynamic and alert drivers.

 

Step 6. Continuing to monitor your mobility

Are you monitoring the project? Only then you will achieve a permanent behavioural change. So remain sufficiently attentive to your action plan. This will ensure that it is continuously updated and your employees will perform better.
