Together we will lay down the criteria for medical checks beforehand (read more about the selection criteria). But you yourself remain in charge. Because you choose which action Securex has to undertake:
- Automatic exchange of illness notifications via xml, whereby a medical check is automatically initiated;
- Registration only of the medical certificates;
- A combination of both.

- E-MCM will register your request for a check online in no time at all. But you can also do this by e-mail or via the toll-free fax or phone numbers.
- Our team of account managers will then process your request and call the best suited physician depending on the region. Our national network has 360 independent occupational healthy physicians.
- Any request for a check, if transmitted by 11 a.m., will be carried out the same day.
- We will report to you via e-mail within 24 hours after the medical check.
- The right procedure: Checking the employee at home or at the physician’s practice
Does your employee’s physician state that the employee who is ill cannot leave his house? Then our physician will have to visit him at home. Is there nobody at home at the time of his visit? Then the physician will leave an invitation for a check-up at his practice.
Can your employee leave the house? Then you can request that the check-up takes place directly at the physician’s practice. Clearly lay down the agreements for this procedure in your protocol. Then it will offer several benefits:
- Your employee has to notify every absence himself: This will raise the threshold.
- So-called ‘Don’t feel like working” days will lose their significance because your employee has to visit two physicians in one day (their own GP and the occupational healthy physician).
- You also avoid useless transport costs on behalf of the occupational health physician.
- The authority of a physician in his own practice is much more comprehensive and thus prevents provoking behaviour on behalf of your employee.
- You put an end to discussions regarding home visits (e.g., never found the invitation, the physician did not wait long enough at the door, etc.).
- Registration of medical certificates
Every absent employee has to have his GP fill out a medical certificate. Securex registers the certificate data (e.g., reason for absence, duration) and will analyse these on a periodical basis. This enables you to constantly adjust your welfare policy.
