Step 1. Determining your vision

We determine the canvas within which we define your transport policy. Together we determine potential KPIs that your line management has to follow (e.g., number of incidents, damage to property, etc.). This will help you get a realistic idea of the issue and you will also immediately understand the difference that this project can make to your business. With this information in hand we lay down your vision and your objectives.

Step 2. Raising awareness among your executives

Your plan is only likely to succeed if everyone is convinced. That is why we take the time to properly inform your line management about the project’s progress. The duties and responsibilities of the executives will be explained in more detail.

Result: everyone in your company knows the projects and understands its importance.

 


Step 3. Carrying out an audit and a risk analysis

We examine the internal traffic risks your company faces and how serious they are.

  • Internal traffic: we gather data on incidents, your means of transportation, etc. This helps us chart everything and identify bottlenecks.
  • Compliance of fork-lift trucks: we check whether your mobile equipment complies with all legal provisions and provide you with a service report with a risk analysis.
  • Mechanical vibration measurements: Our occupational hygienist will check whether your workers are exposed to mechanical vibration.

 

Result: you know exactly which risks the people on your workfloor run and how serious these risks are.

 




Step 4. Drawing up your action plan

We work on primary and secondary prevention. First we give you advice to address those items that were identified as problematic in the risk analysis. Then we draw up safety instructions, an internal traffic plan with traffic rules and an 'internal roads' checklist.

Result: you will have an action plan that works in the short and long term.

 



Step 5. Implementing your action plan

We will implement your action plan. You decide how long we remain involved in this phase. We will provide an awareness session for each employee, in which we will also explain the instructions. You can choose from three courses for internal drivers, each including a theoretical session, an exam and a practical test.

  • Fork-lift truck training.
  • Cherry picker training
  • Rolling bridge user training.

Result: your employees become experts at using their vehicle and help facilitate internal traffic.

 

 


Step 6. Continuous monitoring of your internal transport

It is important that you continue to pay sufficient attention to your action plan. It will constantly update itself in line with new circumstances and your internal traffic will be safe, fast and efficient. We will gladly help you with this continuous monitoring:

  • monitoring of action plan and Key Performance Indicators: is everybody following the action plan? How do your employees behave? How does everybody score on all the predefined KPIs? To check this we will conduct a new audit;
  • refresher toolbox ‘internal traffic rules’: Does everybody remember the internal traffic rules? Were there any accidents or damage? How are the KPIs evolving?
