Protect your employees from violence

Violence, bullying, sexual harassment, etc. Mobbing is undoubtedly the most complex psycho-social issue to deal with on the work floor. While often also having many and heavy consequences.

Securex considers the battle against mobbing an absolute priority. We developed a series of tools and trainings in accordance with the 2002 ‘bullying Act’ and will help your company work to develop a preventative bullying policy.

Information sessions: Break through the taboo

Behaviour that crosses boundaries on the work floor is still considered a major taboo. Moreover, many employees tend to assess the consequences of such behaviour incorrectly. And not everyone is aware of the socially accepted boundaries.

The Securex psycho-social welfare prevention adviser will outline the legal framework during an information session and will provide clear practical examples. He will also point out the consequences and the potential complaint procedure. Ensuring that your employees are better informed about the implications of mobbing. It will give you the opportunity to map a policy that benefits from support throughout the company.

Relief, negotiation and advice in case of bullying

The law regarding psychosocial burden obliges every company to chart a complaints procedure and to call on a psychosocial welfare prevention adviser to combat undesirable behaviour on the job. Securex will gladly help you:

  • Our psychosocial welfare prevention adviser will gladly help you draw up and implement this procedure;
  • Our specialists are familiar with the issue and are independent in respect to your company and its employees;
  • We will take over your complaints procedure: Your employees can call a toll-free 0800 number to voice their complaints and will be able to discuss it with one of our confidential advisers. We will make recommendations to the employer as to which measures to take and will draw up an anonymous report on an annual basis.

Trained confidential advisers

Confidential advisers play a decisive role in combating bullying and providing relief for the employees concerned. They are well-versed in this issue and also require a good dose of psychological insight.

That is why Securex developed a training for confidential advisers, which entails three phases:

Basic training
During a course of six half days, we will train your candidates to become confidential advisers as laid down in the Bullying Act. They will assimilate the following information:

  • The general legal frame;
  • Their tasks and responsibilities;
  • The practical approach: Tips, advice, pitfalls;
  • concrete situations;
  • Discussion techniques based on role-play.

Return day
We refresh the basic information and anchor the knowledge acquired during basic training in one intensive day session. Moreover, we specifically practise how to deal with the complainers and the persons who are the subject of the complaint, and discuss experiences.

Intervision sessions
Confidential advisers can learn the most from practical cases, including those of other confidential advisers. That is why we regularly organize intervision sessions, in which colleagues share experience and advice. We pay attention to the content of the complaints filed, the process and the attitude of the confidential adviser.
