How many workers are needed to replace a light bulb? Does this sound like the beginning of a joke? Unfortunately not! The consequences of such an act are not always benign. Your company is teeming with electrical low-voltage installations: light fixtures, fuses, etc.
In case of a minor problem with any of these installations you do not systematically call in an expensive specialised electrician. The outcome: your own employees decide to take care of the problem. And this exposes your organisation and your workers to serious dangers! Resulting, all too often, in accidents and incapacity for work.
Securex tackles these dangerous situations. We carry out an inventory of risky electrical fittings and we train your staff to use these installations correctly. The outcome? Your organisation runs at full throttle and your employees are not at risk.
In this context we have resolutely opted in favour of an integrated approach. This alone can guarantee security in your organisation. Our aim is to install four fuses in your business that will radically change your policy on electrical installations.
According to the GREI (general regulations on electrical installations), you need to create a special category of « informed persons ». These are employees who regularly handle your electrical installations when you do not rely on a professional. These employees are often night workers or supervisors. They keep your organisation on track but sometimes run a serious risk themselves.
Compliance with this statutory requirement is already a good start. We therefore propose that your staff undergo solid technical training as regards the BA4 code! But we go even further! Our aim is to definitely resolve the approach of small electrical problems in your organisation. Everyone knows exactly what his responsibilities are and risk behaviour disappears. You stand to benefit twice: your business is fully operational and the number of accidents decreases.

We conduct extensive discussions with your facilities manager and with key figures of the management team. Together we define a clear policy for your electrical installations. What are the stumbling blocks? What are your goals? How are tasks shared among your employees and Securex?
The outcome: an outline of your project will have been established. Our experts and your employees are on the same wavelength and work in function of the same KPIs (Key Performance Indicator).
Our aim is to not only secure your business today but also tomorrow. These sustainable results involve a permanent change in behaviour among your employees. A change that will only happen if management encourages it. As a result we involve your managers and your team leaders and we clearly explain the progress and outcome of our project.
Result: your chain of command knows its role and responsibilities. It knows that its contribution is crucial to ensure the project's success.
It’s up to you to determine how much we intervene. Do you want to personally be in charge of some of the workload? We will organise our services accordingly. Do you want to leave everything in the hands of our experts? No problem! We implement the following four modules. The decision is yours.
Module 1: an inventory of all hazardous tasks
You want to avoid any accidents with electrical installations. What could be more normal? We therefore need to know the precise number of risky manipulations performed within your organisation. Then we will devise an alternative for each of these.
We will draw up an inventory of the current risky manipulations performed by your employees and we will conduct a dual-purpose categorisation: are these legally permitted and are they safe?
Module 2: technical and organisational checks
We will draw up a detailed inventory of all of your electrical installations: your lighting network, your household installations, etc. We will also examine all of the plans, drawings and certification reports pertaining to your electrical network. So we can get a clear picture of the electrical equipment in your organisation.
We will also examine the agreements with the manager of the building as well as existing work procedures. So we will precisely know which cabinets need to remain out of reach of your employees who are trained in the BA4 code and which appliances they can handle.
Module 3: prevention
First we will work on the technical aspect: we will inform you about electrical cabinets that constitute a risk and on how to improve their safety. We will then create a security matrix for your company. It will show exactly which manipulations are authorized for which workers and will elaborate on the procedures that have to be respected.
Module 4: training
We train concerned workers so that they properly understand the procedures and that they know exactly how to conduct an intervention. What better than practical training? Not to mention that every employee who successfully completes the training will be granted the compulsory BA4 certificate.
Result: Risk electrical interventions are eliminated. Your “notified personnel” does not run a single risk, and neither does your organisation.
We return to your workplace to check your procedures and to ensure that employees stick to them. We assess our results based on the KPIs that were proposed from the outset.
Your electrical grid will naturally change regularly. Like your employees. We thus organise retraining workshops every three years in order to maintain optimum security within your organisation.
Result: risky electrical manipulations are basically an accident.
