To which employees does this arrangement apply?

Those employees who are confronted with health risks have to undergo a medical check-up by the occupational health physician. We will list the most important categories of employees. Of course, we will check in practice for each specific case whether the arrangement applies.

  • Employees who carry out activities with certain risks:
    •  Exposure to chemical, physical and biological agents (such as hazardous materials, noise, vibrations, infections);
    • With an ergonomic or psychosocial burden (such as repetitive tasks, night work).
       
  • Employees with a safety function:
    Any work involving the following:
    • The use of work tools;
    • Working with motor vehicles, cranes, travelling platforms, hoisting equipment);
    • Operating machines connected with dangerous installations or equipment ;
    • Carrying a weapon.

    Insofar as this may jeopardise the safety and health of other employees of the company or third parties.
     
  • Employees who carry out a job with heightened vigilance and in which inattention entails a risk for their colleagues.

  • Employees who are in direct contact with unconditioned foodstuffs.

  • VDT workers who work more than four hours a day with a VDT.
     
  • Special employee categories:
    • Minors and other youths under specific conditions (e.g., night work).
    • Female employees during pregnancy or while breastfeeding.
