How do I arrange my social status and social security contributions?

You can register your self-employed activity as a primary occupation or a secondary occupation:

I want to work full-time as a self-employed person
o Then your self-employed activity is a primary occupation. The social status of the self-employed person applies to you.
I want to work part-time as a self-employed person
o Are you working at least half-time as a salaried person, as an employee or are you an educator with a timetable of at least 6/10? Then your self-employed activity is a secondary occupation. The social status of the self-employed person applies to you.

As a self-employed person you are subject to several rights and responsibilities, such as registering with a social security fund.
