Self-employed persons are responsible for their own social security payments. You are therefore responsible for registering on time with a social security fund. You can of course count on assistance from Securex to do this in the right way.
Within 90 days of the start of your self-employed activity. If you haven’t joined a social security fund by then, you will be declared in default by the RSVZ. You will then have 30 days to choose a social security fund. If you still don’t manage to do this, you will be officially registered with the National Social Security Fund for self-employed. A word of caution: late registration is charged with interest (increases of 3% per quarter delay plus a one-off annual charge of 7%).
This applies whether your self-employed activity is a secondary or primary occupation.
Your registration is a legal and unavoidable requirement. But you are free to opt for a social security fund of your choice. Securex’ Company Desk can take care of your registration with Social Security Fund Securex Integrity.
What is the use of a social security fund?
You need to be able to trust your social security fund. To know that you will be helped if anything goes wrong. To know that you won’t have to wait weeks or months for benefits and/or replacement income to which you are entitled. That’s exactly what we at Securex Integrity take care of. Consult our good service charter here.
Moreover, we will be there every day with advice on your status and help in optimising it.
