Helping girls become self-sufficient

The pluralistic centre Stappen in Sint-Amandsberg provides facilities and education to young girls between the ages of 14 and 20, who are placed in foster care due to a difficult family situation and/or a crime they committed by the Youth Court or the Committee for Special Youth Care. The centre helps them restore their relations with people they can trust, trains them to be self-sufficient and prepares them for a life on their own. Securex helps Stappen to make the practice residences ready to live in - a first phase in supervised independent living.

Help young people say no to drugs

The not-for-profit association Drogues in Brussels focuses on the range of problems related to drug abuse in young people. It provides information, help, permanent prevention and guidance to anyone who is confronted with this issue. Infor-Drogues wishes to raise awareness among young people between the ages of 14 and 18 regarding substances abuse with the information brochure on '35 prejudices regarding drugs'. Securex helps the association with the publication of this brochure, which is distributed in youth houses, schools and at festivals.

Adolescent schools

Les Péniches in Liège supports adolescents, who are unable to carve out their niche in society due to a lack of schooling and resources. It helps re-integrate these young people both socially and professionally based on professional schooling and social assistance. Securex buys material for the practice classes.
